Oh my, lovely tune. Blue as the night and calm as tiredness. Cool that it is possible to create that using a freeware soft synth. Is every sound created by ASynth?
Yes, I thought of the term 'plugin' right after posting it, but I didn't bother to change it. Actually what I have made is simply an ableton live PRESET.
But it was more the perception of building a plugin...I should really begin checking plugin development tools...
Pop songs as a genre is one big paradox. But here I think of "pop songs" as music that ordinary people hypothetically might enjoy....and then you say "define ordinary people". GOSH....
Haha, I knew this pop song challenge thing would invoke some traumas! Just like shurt circuiting the great HAL. Dead locks and infinite loops. I might have found the hardest challenge over them all here!
Nice drone by the way! I think I will go to sleep with it in my ears...
Our band disk is gone (stolen, lost, dissolved whatever) AND Jonas' Lacie external drive with our comming album and presumably can resist a drop at 10 meters, crashed after just 1,5 month!
The first one is KYMA and the second is REAPER. This because the first one sounds more smooth in the transition and the second more 'grainish'. What did I win?!?!
Thanks marc! Yes it came out pretty good, but I must admit I find your rec-play-rec better - more atmospheric!
As a little bonus info, I can say that I exaggerate the tape flutter and wow effect by "punching" the tape gently while playing. Otherwise it would have been less tape-like.
Some tones with lots of reverb and distortion, and a spinkling of beats
